Orzo Oats Salad
(This makes a very tasty dish - but you may want to half the ingredients as this makes a
very large salad.)

Orzo oats |

eggs, beaten |
3/4 cup |
187 ml |
white sugar |
2 tbsp |
30 ml |
flour |
1/2 tsp |
2.5 ml |
salt |
32 oz |
1 litre |
canned pineapple tidbits |
1 |

can Mandarin oranges |
1 |
|
small tub of Cool Whip |
- Drain fruit, save juices.
- Combine juices, flour, salt and eggs. Cook until thick. Cool.
- Cook Orzo oats as directed and cool.
- Combine Orzo oats with other mixture and refrigerate overnight.
- Next day, add the drained fruit and fold in Cool Whip.
Note:
Lancia Orzo oats 2 lb. package contains 5 cups. 1 lb. = 2 1/2 cups; 1/2 lb. = 1
1/4 cups. |
